The City of Boulder to Implement E-Complish’s Automated Payment Processing for Water Bills
Heightening Payment Efficiency and Safety in the Digital Age
This month, the City of Boulder will be implementing a new utility payment system that will significantly transform and secure the way people pay their utility bills. Instead of mailing a check, walking into a payment center or calling an operator during business hours, residents can now make payments at any time over the phone and online. Mobile payments are slated to follow in the coming months.
The City of Boulder has contracted with E-Complish to design a new customer online payment portal that will provide residents with the option to set up automatic recurring payments through an account profile or make quick one-time payments. An automated phone system is also available for one-time payments. In addition to creating an easy-to-use system, these new payment processes are a much safer and private way to make payments. E-Complish adheres to strict Level 1 PCI Compliance requirements in order to maintain the highest security levels for account numbers and personal information. In taking the step to contract with E-Complish the City has reduced their burden of extra PCI Compliance guidelines and increased resident privacy and security.
This custom payment system, designed specifically for the City of Boulder, will improve the speed, quality, and security of payments to cut down on time spent by city employees for payment processing. Stephen Price, CEO of E-Complish, commented, “We are seeing more and more state and local governments moving toward online and phone payments, primarily for the benefit it brings to the community in reducing wait times at payment locations and providing payment convenience. With this move comes payment compliance and a whole new set of guidelines that need to be maintained in order to maintain privacy and security of account holder payment information. This is where E-Complish comes to the rescue. In contracting with E-Complish, the City of Boulder has taken the necessary step needed to provide a safe and secure payment environment for their residents and provide instant processing and convenience. It is a technology by which everyone benefits.”
Citizens of Boulder can find the new utility payment portal at https://myboulderutilitybill.bouldercolorado.gov or by calling their automated DirectPay phone service at 888-601-3012 or 303-441-3260 Option 3. The only necessity to get started is the 7-digit customer number and 10-digit account number, which can be found on the resident’s water bill.
E-Complish, LLC: Since 1998, E-Complish has been providing financial services for organizations seeking to improve their bottom line, and has established itself as a reliable and secure payment partner. Striving to handle both payments and security on a daily basis, the City of Boulder is excited about this new development in the system.
